We all know that Williamsburg Brooklyn is full of wonderful hidden gems. The hipsters, the scene ,and youth. This great old fashioned diner feels like you walked into another century. I was then lead to a backyard garden with tables galore. All of a sudden the hip factor increased. Du Mont is great people watching for brunch, but also great food. A must repeat for me soon. Burger people…..the place to be….

The only way to describe this new find is as a “hidden gem”. Just when I thought i knew every street in the city, I discovered some great places down on FRONT STREET. This tiny block near the south street seaport is full of charm and great food. There are a number of hot food spots but back behind the italian gourmet shop is this tiny eatery called Barbarini. You feel like Italy just took over Manhattan. Can’t wait to go back!!
