I recently found these jeans at Barneys co-op. Today in order to buy, it must stand out! These “quiet” jeans did just that. Great fits, great looks, Make a quiet statement. It made me turn Japanese, I really think so……

The summer is almost here and the time is right for Skinny Ties. The best on the block are from Black Fleece. If you didn’t know, this is a new division of Brooks Brothers. I walked into the store on Bleeker St. and wow…I loved the decor and these ties were staring me in the face. The stripes and plaids and gingham checks looked so Great Gatsby! Old World meets New World. The New B.B.

Besides this being my new favorite Pet Shop Boys song, it is also my favorite new show straight from the BBC via the LOGO channel. This campy and colorful new series tells the story of a young teenage creative genius on the rise. Based on the life story of famous Barney’s window dresser, Simon Doonan, it is fresh and fun. Ugly Betty Beware!!.

We are all searching for the perfect V…this time is happens to start with an L for Lacoste. The tee shirt of choice. Why not add a little bite to your basics. Go for Black or White. Keep it simple. The $45.00 ticket is justified by the jersey prima cotton fabric. The soft cotton and modern fit is a marriage made in heaven. Trust me everyone will be asking. Go do it now! The search is over….

Oh Mama, I know the french is all about ooh la la, but this time King Louis (aka Marc Jacobs) Vuitton, did not fit the girl. I tried to like the wild healed thigh high boots. I tried to like her beautiful hair. I want to like color. I wanted her to reign! This girl has never let me down in twenty years. Oops Don’t Do It Again!

What ever happened to the One Word Model? Iman, Veruschka, Twiggy, Gisele, Naomi, Dovima, Kate. Are these names of the past? They are much easier to remember than the current slew of models i.e…Anna Jagodzinska, Natalia Vodianova, Liya Kebede, and Caroline Trentini. Yes these girls are gorgeous, but their names are certainly a mouthful!  This Vogue cover is a great way to learn about these beautiful beauties, just don’t ask me to spell.

She’s coming back to Bravo. Get ready! As we all know, she is building her brand, and I had the pleasure of meeting the Zoe in person at a product meeting. She swooped in with the longest pair of faded bell bottoms I had ever seen.She was basically cleaning our showroom floor for the day. We joked about her not having the right shoe, but in my eyes ,she had the right look as usual. The 70’s glamour girl is what I dream of. When said to me that she “felt like we had met before”, I think she was telling me she approved. Instantly, I felt like we were high school chums. Her references of 70’s music made me shiver with excitement. I think we both might be from the same fox family!

Having recently walked from the basic haven for many reasons to follow, I have found myself back in the door of the Republic of clean. This outpost got too boring, too basic, and too baggy (the three B’s), but now it all looks quite appealing again since Barneys seems to be a place that’s off limits. Not that anything is wrong with the other B’S (Barneys and Bergdorf).  At Banan Republic the assortment, including sportcoats(fitted one size smaller than usual), is worth taking a look at. Outerwear can also be quite cool. Its all about the item!!

How many rings does one need for only ten fingers? The first scene of this amazing DVD, LARGERFELD CONFIDENTIAL, shows you a bowl of about 500 silver rings that Mister Lagerfeld must pick from for his daily outing from his apartment. The behind scenes of Karl’s life seems like the life of a King…I guess you can call him the King Of Fashion. Even if you are not interested in fashion, you will  love the daily strolls around Paris!  His personality (the movie is subtitled) is one I found fascinating. Chanel’s black and white world is full of color due to the genius that is Karl.
