TOAST to the best fashion campaign of the season! As the seasons change, one of my favorite “rites of passage” is to RUN to the glossies to see all the new fashion campaigns. Is it going to be Gucci, Prada, Dolce, Burberry or Calvin? There is only one per season that is a wow! It grabs you like something you never felt before. The models, the clothes , the location or just the colors!

When all else fails go black…that’s what Brad and Angelina did on the red carpet this week. Since Oscar did not make it to their laps that night, I want to give them my award for best dressed. They win for their bold statement in plain old black (with some chic emeralds thrown in for color). When one must choose from every color in the rainbow, and from every designer on every continent, it is best to go to black. Double black that is!!!

Day-glo pink, green, and orange…oh my!! How does one choose??’
Well let Amazon do it for you! Anyone who has lived through the 80’s must have had a bit of spandex in their lives…I had a pair of gym shorts in day-glo blue! The Stephen Sprouse Book is a must for all coffee tables. The cover is edgy and the content is outragous! This book has the best packaging I have seen in quite a while, and it comes in three day-glo colors. If you buy it through Amazon, you’ll get an unbeatable price and they’ll choose the color for you. I got orange. Luv it!!!!
It’s all in the mix!! Not only how the ingredients and flavors come together on the plate you are being served but also the restaurants mix of people. Eating at Almond, a new branch of the Bridgehampton location, brings it all together…people, great food, a celeb or two (no names to be mentioned), but it’s not that type of place. A very friendly owner and Maitre’ di makes sure everyone is having a great time and that guests have everything they need. This is the real mccoy for great dining and great people with out all the hoopla!!!

One of the most important body parts are your hands. we do use them everyday !!! Now boys this is not for the girls only. Our hands are just as important. The month of February can be one of the roughest and coldest of the winter, so why not smooth it over with the best?

For some strange reason it is always good to know who the model of the moment is… we always want to know who the next Linda, Kate, Cindy or Naomi is in converstation. We all love saying “I’ve known about her for awhile now”. Don’t ask why this “information” is so useful, but trust me it will be down the road. The name is LARA STONE, stone that is! This reptilian blond is having a Stone Age Moment. She is worshiped by the fashion world to such an extent that she was featured in February 2009 PARIS VOGUE and was photograpghed in various spreads by some of the world’s best photograpghers. Besides “fox” being in the title of both cover albums, I am constantly looking for new music to satisfy my taste buds and Fleetfoxes does the trick. From the intriguing renaissance cover, to the gorgeous vocal harmonies, this music is perfectly soothing as it takes you away to a great time and place.
For some reason this CD brought me back to then – to Genesis Foxtrot. The magical artwork of both covers linked them together in my mind, even though the two musical styles are quite different. They both take me to a land where imagination goes wild and beauty prevails.

As you all know, the recession is hitting us all hard in different ways.
The stress, pressure, and cutting back is no fun! Recently I found myself eating steak at Prime House NYC …how inldugent during these times! I decided that maybe for once beef should be my boss and what a great way to release all the economic tension.
Another place to let it all go is Striphouse. As I was cutting through my steak like butter, I said to myself….this has to be better than spending money on yet another pair of deisgner jeans.
