This is amazing!! This new musical is edgy, rocked out, insane, emotional, operatic, and  riveting, There are no names to the songs…just music that tells a story that is bold and goes straight to the heart. Have your tissues close by, its going to be a bumpy road.

The wind is blowing, the hair is flying and where is Fabio? Animals are in the search for their prey at this wonderful showing of Mr. Gadino’s romance genre. Muscular men and gorgeous women!!  What more could one ask for. Be swept away with Victor to a land of make believe where ecstasy and beauty rules.

Most of you know his films, but for many years now Johnny has been putting out some fantastic art. His latest show is now on view at the Marianne Boesky Gallery until May 2nd. Don’t miss this show…It is Mr. Waters at his best. Since we are all huge fans of his films, his art has the same appeal and you can own it. This way you can have Waters 24-7 on your wall!! I have one from a previous show, so go get one!  Talk about splurge galore!! The value will only go up even in this crazy world. Water’s world is always 100%.

All of Africa is roaring over this exciting new series on HBO. Based on the novels of the same name, this new series takes place in Botswana and is one of the quirkiest shows I have seen in awhile. The concept alone is so absurd, yet original, that is draws you in immediately. You almost can’t tell if it is serious or funny. The woman factor here is No. 1…Helen Ready would have loved this show!  It also comes with a token hilarious secretary with glasses.

Talk about Hallmark! Since it’s inception, Brothers and Sisters has been capturing my attention. It all started in  the 70’s (my favorite era for TV), with the Flying Nun.  Sally Field’s voice, even back then was always comforting and soft…always the words of wisdom. While watching B and S, I always know when to  grab for the box of tissues…the soft faded music seems to sink into the wonderful writing that makes this show so special.  Its good to let it out once in awhile and you will always have Sally/Nora to help you through it.

It’s coming soon, so begin to refresh your mind. The 1968 production of Hair is coming to Broadway, hippies and all!  Last summer the production was held in Central Park for a limited time, so for those who missed it (like me) you can now go see it on Broadway.  Get your tickets now!  I highly recommend going back in time with the original Broadway cast soundtrack. Remember the original cast recordings are always the most authentic from the time period. Let some sunshine into your life. Let it all hang out!

Bravo to Bravo.  Another hit.  This channel keeps coming up with the most interesting reality shows on the market. They are almost character studies in eccentric personalities. Currently my favorite is Patti Stanger from Millionaire Matchmaker.  Don’t ask me why! Is it her black bob? Her abrasive loudmouth? Im not sure it’s even her advice, but something about her keeps me glued. She seems to be the chic of the moment on reality TV. Housewives are so last minute.

Take a trip to the International Center for Photography (ICP). This is one of my favorite museums. It doesn’t take hours to do, nor is it in a nose bleed part of town…it’s only at 42nd and 6th Ave.  The exhibit runs from from Jan 16-May 3rd and they are presenting two shows that are contrasts from different times and eras.  Black and white it is not!!  Well some photos are.  Two for the price of one.  Ying and yang.  Hard and soft (you’ll understand when you see the shows)!  I was impressed with the contrast of both shows. Go see it!!

Day-glo pink, green, and orange…oh my!!  How does one choose??’

Anyone who has lived through the 80’s must have had a bit of spandex in their lives…I had a pair of gym shorts in day-glo blue!  The Stephen Sprouse Book is a must for all coffee tables. The cover is edgy and the content is outragous! This book has the best packaging I have seen in quite a while, and it comes in three day-glo colors.  If you buy it through Amazon, you’ll get an unbeatable price and they’ll choose the color for you. I got orange. Luv it!!!!
